Agreed. Both Brian and he seemed to be in on their own race. Come to think of it so was I.

We should do this again at some point during the middle of the season. Next up Garbage Plate Meet???

Just checking in from Sunny FL. Glad to see that all had a good time and that the balance of the force remains intact. Sitting at Mcky D's getting an internet fix and catching up on the world a little. Heading off to Sebring tomorrow thru Sat for my own racing fix. Unfortunately it will be as a spectator. Hoping that a contact I made at Skippy School will be able to get me a little VIP access to a garage or two. We'll see how it plays out! Will check a couple other threads and be off.
Be well all!

Paul - the young guns kicked our butts at Go Karts. I need a few more laps to get up to their speed but it was my first time so I didn't feel too bad about my third place time. If you get bored, take a look at the videos I posted. We even talked Lisa into running the last race with the boys !. She was petrified at the start but by the end she was having a blast. And as a thank you to Aashish - Lisa made him his very own Upstate S2KI shirt !.

I hope you do get an all access pass, you can see most of the track from up in the towers. The garages are just open area's under the tower and they look out onto the front straight. Maybe your buddy will let you crash on the floor of his hotel and save you the back and forth travel to the track. I wish I was down there with ya but sadly I am struggling thru another snow storm (tomorrow) here in NY.

The car is moving along but the delay of getting all the correct parts has been painfully slow. Brian snuck into Jake's garage and got a first hand look at all the mods.....but he is sworn to secrecy. Aashish was probing around trying to get a handle on all the mods.....but Jake is keeping it under wraps for now. Jake has been doing an excellent job working on the car, it sure makes a huge difference having someone that knows S2000 inside and out !.

I have to make a date with Lisa to teach her how to drive stick.

After that, she will need her own race car.

She has her own s2000 (MY03) that I bought for her in 2010 for a B-day present. Good luck with those lessons my friend....some people are meant to drive standard and some aren't.

Lap times By The numbers - I was able to knock 1.891 seconds off my lap times and ended up just .288 seconds behind Jake's time. I think with a bit more practice I might be able to run with Jake and Brian.
