This thread is for us to talk about event ideas - DO NOT plan on a specific date without sending me a PM 1st and letting me chat with you about it. Dates have to be organized and if they are, through me 1st, then I won't have to deal with people's hurt feelings because their event got slighted by some other event scheduled for the same weekend or too close to their event.

I want to do a megameet
Spring to early summer
Saturday drive based near Syracuse
Hotel meetup on Friday night
Some may stay Saturday night after the meet as well
There will be more than one hotel selected
Some people here think it has to be plush, includes a bar and restaurant and all that
Some people here think it has to be basic, no frills and very cost effective
The whole objective of this meet is to get as many people together as possible
So, come to terms with 2 hotels, not everybody wants to flush hundreds of dollars down the drain for 2 nights, and not everybody wants a simple cheap place to sleep
Gilly has volunteered to help hammer out a route
I will be staying at the cheap place

Thanks for starting this Doug. A bar dosn't have to be on premises as long as there is one nearby.
