Default window tint question

i got 2 tickets today. front tint and rear tint.
i bought the car from the dealer all tinted already.
acura dealer.

cop said that some people complain about the same shit. them not knowing that the tints are illegal because it was factory installed

he said to take the car to acura, have them pay the fines and have them remove the tint.

anyone familiar with this????

it makes some sense.

i bought the car less then 2 months ago.
i dont feel like paying the fines.

i could care less if i have tints or not.
just dont want them fuking up my defrost strips on the rear window when the remove the tint

bring it back to them!
make a big enough stink about it and they will take care of you.

tint law:

100% legal on rear window, dark as you like.

NO tint on rear door winows, unless your reg says suburban body style (suv, or SUBN wagon) if allowed, dark as you like.

front windows: ANY tint, no matter how light, will fail the NY tint measure device test.

gotta check your fine print... maybe there is an "as is" condition clause.

funny how people break the law then blame the cops.

if your car can't pass inspection, fix it so it will.
