Default window not working?

both windows are not going down...i tried to put the window down from the passenger side as well and nothing..i tried the on/off switch thinking that i might have had a brainfart..what could it be? i got 39k to the S and now i'm starting to wonder if the motor went bad already

they have seperate motors, so i doubt they both went at the same time. i would check the fuse first.

lol dave. nah not sure but look for the window or window motor fuse. its probably in the fuse box under the driver's side, near the pedals.

update: already checked all the fuses..they look good
opened up the door panel to see if the actual piece was loose...wasnt
checked the roof switch fuse..it was good

question: what's the chances of the actual motor for the on/off switch to go bad @ 39k?
the guy @ autozone gave that to me as a suggestion..that or a relay going bad

the odds of them both just going at the same time are nearly impossible. usually they go slowly and not just one morning when you wake up. could be a relay, but now sure where that is. maybe your on/off switch is broken and its stuck in lock mode?

this happened to me during the summer ...i initially thought that it was the regulator...ended up buying a used regulator and switched it out which was a pain in the ass only to find out that it wasn't it

so before you make the same mistake...find a buddy with an S and take his door panel off with the master window switch and everything...plug it in and see if it works

i seems like if our driver side switch goes bad the entire system doesnt work...hope this helps

found a replacement switch on ebay for like $15 bucks FYI
