Default where to get car audio in Manhattan

Hi,

I'm coming to New York next week (From London). I'd like to know of a good place to pick up some cheap-ish car audio (alpine stereo, DLS speakers, etc) in Manhattan?

Any suggestion will be welcome !

Thanks

the fact that they dont take back isnt much of a problem for me. Alpine is good stuff, and I dont think I will go back to NYC to swap a faulty stereo anyway

even at $269 the IDA x100 is almost 40 bucks cheaper than in UK, so anything cheaper is bonus.

Thanks for the sites, I'll check them out.

For a $40 dollar savings ur willing to risk bringing it back and potentially getting it damaged during transit?

what do you recommend for 6.5" speakers not over $99/pair that have good to above average bass response. .Obviously not a sub woofer but at least as decent as my s2000 speakers that don't distort with volume (mine are really good for some reason). I was going with polks; anything better?

$40 from crutchfield means this is the lowest possible amount to save. checking the site NFRS2K83 gave me I already saw the stereo at $243 instead of $269. Speaker are almost half as expensive as in UK.

What do you mean by damaging it in transit ? I very often bring wine bottles in my overhead luggage and have never had any problem. I bought numerous stereos in HK and flew back 10 hours with no issues. You would really have to be unlucky to damage a car stereo, especially one with no CD player like the Alpine ida-x100 I am after.
