Default what happens if you don't take car off insurance?

I sold my 2nd car and now I only have my S. I turned in the plates but I haven't contacted my insurance company yet. If I tell them the other car is gone, the rates will go up compared to having 2 cars. Is illegal not to remove the car from my insurance?

Why oh why would you want to pay insurance on a car you no longer own?
The rate will not go up equal to the amount you've been paying for the second car, will it?
Call your insurance company and see how much you will save by taking the second car off the policy.

I've gotten the quote. ITS MORE EXPENSIVE TO TAKE 2ND CAR OFF. Obviously they know that you can't be driving the nice expensive car 100% of the time if you have another car. Once you take the cheap beater off they know you're driving the expensive car 100% of the time.

his insurance might go up enough to make it more expensive than insurancing two cars if hes young and his other car was a safer/non sports car that was his Daily driver and the S2000 was a "pleasure vehicle". call ur insurance company. most likely itll b cheaper than b4 so no worries. how old r u? over 25 ur fine dont worry

not necessarily tell them that you take public transportation for work and u only put 7000 or less miles on your car.

Ok then get a beater for a couple of hundred and park it. Or how about you got a brother or sister or some other family member or close friend? Let them be the 2nd car and split the cost.

There is definitely something wrong with insurance companies... let's get GPMike on this case.

thats total bs.

to take off a car from your policy will not increase ur rates.

insurance companies do not think about what car is being driven when.

why not insure 1345092739 cars then, i doubt you will ever drive them. (get my point)

you get a discount on your primary car for insuring a second vehicle.

so when u drop the second car, the first cars premium will go up, but you no longer need to pay insurance on the other car. meaning it will cost u less
