Default Warm up problem?

Whats up guys. Today on the way home from my school, i had some problem with my s2k and was wondering if it was just my car or its supposed to like that. I started my car and started driving without warming it up . By the intersection, the light was about to turn red so i gas it in 1st gear till i hit V-tec. However when i got to my vtec, my car had a big jerk(sort of like braking hard) and i didnt touch the brake . I dont know how to explain this well but does anyone know if its normal or should i be worried? Thanks

you hit the cold engine rev limiter. There's a rev limiter when you drive the car hard and it's cold. Pretty much because the oil isn't upto the task of lubing the engine and could potentially damage the engine.
