Default Track day following the Nor'easter

This year, the Monday following the Nor'easter, we will be heading to New Hampshire International Speedway for a track day. This event is sponsored by SCDA. They provide all the instructors. This is a professional event. The price is a bit higher than other track days, but it is worth the price to not have to worry about instructors and training, etc.

My plan is to head up to New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon and get a hotel near the track. If others are so inclined, Ellen (Tadashi) or I will be happy to scout out a hotel for us. Let us know.

This is a limited registration track day and SCDA is open to people outside of the club, so if you are interested in participating, now is the time to register. Here is the link to the schedule. Scroll down to the August 18 NHIS event. You will see links for the application. I hope many of you will sign up for this exciting event that follows the Nor'easter. After you register, please let us know you will be attending by posting on the track day thread in the Nor'easter forum.

Thanks for reading.

Some have asked about equipment requirements. You need an SA rated helmet and your car's seatbelts have to be in good working order (both sides). They will inspect your car and make you remove any lose items. You are also expected to have relatively fresh brake fluid and the brake pads should have plenty of thickness left.

All in all, not a big deal, and nothing more than what you should have anyway.

so they will not be testing using the broomstick method, nor do you require an aftermarket rollbar/ hardtop?

NHIS has some exception for S2000s. Most drivers will NOT pass the broom handle test, but they allow us anyways.
