On the related note, I had a friend who had his windshield tinted. He used to get pulled over a lot, but the excuse he gave to the cops (which seemed to have worked most of the times) was that it came from the factory that way.
The tint looks nice in day light, and he said he has no problem seeing at night. However, I wouldn't recommand it. 30-35% would be the way to go.
