I have looked at their workouts relatively close before I started training for last weeks triathlon. Honestly for what it is, crossfit is very expensive, referring to the classes that they offer.

i have to agree with you though about the price if you're gonna go to an actual crossfit sponsored gym. the way i see it however, the price that you pay for an ass kicking workout...you're also paying for motivation and workout tips and advices from certified trainers...i'm almost ready to pull the trigger on going to the one in rockville centre long island
ie. powerlifting movements, gymnastic tips, etc etc

Did a whole tri yesterday in VA in an hour and 40 minutes. I believe cross fit offers a free class in the beginning, or so I have heard. It would be worth it I would say.

Yeah, that sht is way too expensive for me.. I am training with the trainers from Jackrabbit multi sport come the first week of may for the nyc tri and the westchester tri, for a fraction of the cost
honestly you dont need to go to a crossfit gym to do the workouts
however, most gyms will NOT let you do crossfit gyms due to liability reasons
powerlifting (main reason) can cause serious injury for their customers hence crossfit being a taboo workout at gyms
i made my cousin throw up last time (we did the 300 challenge)
