if its not a total, then take the check and get used parts and fix it. then pocket the rest. if it is a total, unfortunatly you can not buy it back from insurance because it goes under valdalism and not theft. this happened to chris (9kghost) with his last s2k. insurance takes the car and gives you a check for book value and you dont have the option to buy it back.

ok so they are paying me money just gave me two options either send it to there state farm representative shops or have an appraiser come to my house and estimate the total damage of the car. WHat do you guys recommend? if i get an appraiser will he give me used value and maybe i get assed out i dont want to either

i think you kind of have to have them come to you since you cant really drive the car with out a seat in it.

ok im a have the appraiser come i hope he does not give me a crazy low amount of money i mean my deductible is 1000 so they take that but as long as i can fix the top either with a hardtop or get billman to with the amount they give me i will be happy. If i get it totaled what can i do lets keep each other updated

yes they will total it out.the insurance will not put used seats in your car.And they will not pay about 5k per seat.If they do total it,you can buy the car back from the insurance company cheap then you can put used seats back in for about 500 bucks.

Insurance will put used seats in your car. A middle man for an insurance company purchased my seats to replace some that were stolen from an S2000. I think it would be different if our seats had airbags installed but they dont. They can total out his car depending on the book value.
