Default Thanks to Bill and Phil and Jeff too.

I just wanted to throw a big thanks to a few of our own, Phil, Bill and Jeff. We all know that they go out of their way to help this community, both in this virtual world and our real lives.

Before tech day, I had an issue with my car. Bill listened to some sound recordings I took and did a basic diagnosis. Jeff also listened, and everyone was in agreement that I spun a (some) bearings.

I was able to shuttle the car out to Bill's, with the help of Phil in the middle. I'm near Trenton, and we all know Bill is out in the Hamptons. Yesterday, I spent 3+ hours on a few trains, a ride in Bill's shuttle service for half hour, and finally go out to the Hamptons and to my car. After some driving around and sightseeing out on Eastern LI, I finally got home around 7:30PM, with my car running perfectly.

Phil didn't have to offer any help at all, but went out of his way to keep my car at his place while coordinating Bill to come get it.

Bill went above and beyond to try some things first before pulling everything apart and recommending complimentary work while he had the car. He was also able to do the normal once-over, valves, TCT work while he had it. He also hung around on a Sunday so I could come pick it up.

Jeff's cooperation at tech-day, knowing that he didn't have much time in the near future, and that I was sending the car to Bill is admirable. Never once did I get the impression that he felt I was wasting his time.

So, my message here - We often take people for granted who are always out there in the forefront. Take some time once in a while to say Thanks! It lets them know they are appreciated, and makes you feel good about doing it.

THANKS GUYS!

Good lesson here....if you do develop a knock, shut it off right away and dont run the engine. It can be easily saved. Gary shut his down, and it was able to be fixed by pulling the pan and doing bearings.

The current job at my house spent too much time revving the engine and posting vids of it, now it needs a motor.

Joe- my stupidity, simple as that.

Not sure if I lost track of time, got too lazy or what not, but basically I ran real low on oil.
