Default Stolen Suzuka Blue S2000 NYC

Hey everyone..

I haven't posted here in a long time as family and life have had me so busy, but I just popped in here to say that my 2005 Suzuka Blue S2000 was stolen from in front of my house Wednesday night/Thursday morning This happened in my neighborhood in Whitestone, Queens, NY.

I woke up Sunday morning to find a huge slash in my top. The top was worn out and had a few rips in it anyway and I was planning on replacing it this winter. It was parked under a tree so I thought a branch might have fallen on it and spread one of the rips wider, so idiot me, I didn't think anything of it. Nothing was missing from the car and the seats were still there. I put my Silverstone metallic hardtop on that day so that if it rained, the rain wouldn't damage the interior. So Sunday night, Monday night and Tuesday night pass by and nothing happens. I come home Wednesday night and park the car. I wake up Thursday morning to find the car gone and broken glass on the passenger side curb. I realized right away that it had been stolen and I immediately felt a huge feeling of disappointment and anger and sadness all mixed up that I had never felt before in my life. And on top of that, they got away with my hardtop!

I bought it brand new in 2005 and this October would have been exactly 10 years that I've had it. In the 10 years I've had it, not once has anyone tried anything especially with all the horror stories of slashed tops and stolen seats. I must say I've been very fortunate in the last 10 years of owning my truly beautiful and unique S2000 and it's so upsetting that people are still stealing these cars till this day.

It was a Suzuka Blue with a Silverstone Metallic hardtop (the hardtop had a couple of scratches on the top) with NY plates AR450. If anyone hears or sees anything, please let me know.

Its almost like they slashed the top to get you to put the HT on so they could syeal that too.

Really sucks.

Look on CL for someone selling a HT.

That's way too close to home. Please post pictures and anything that will set your car apart so we can see anything being sold. How do they bypass the immobilizer?

WOW sorry for your loss. Post pics asap and maybe someone will spot it. Im realizing the majority of stolen s2k threads from NY are in Queens. My theory is if you don't have a garage you can't have an s2k or anything nice on the street for long around NY or NJ
