Thumbs up seat belt warranty? help

i have a 02 and my airbags recently deployed. i posted UTH to see what kinda feedback i would get regaring replacing the seat belt.

is there anyway to "reset" the pretensioners on them once the airbags go?

i know honda carries a limited lifetime warranty on the belts, but does it apply when the airbags go off?

maybe someone can chime in and help me out, because if its not covered...im gunna order them online and get them replaced

once airbag is deployed, you'll have to replace airbag, airbag sensor, fuse, & seatbelt assembly. if you are trying to cover this on warrenty, they would know airbag was deployed and warrenty has gone out the door. if you replace it your own, that would also avoid future warrenty on your seat belt.

I don't believe there is a way to reset the tensioners. You need to buy new ones.

You have to replace the belts and purchase a NEW SRS Control Unit. That is the only way around it. Warranty is VOID if the bags and belts have been popped.

hmmm...i called my local honda dealer and i told them my situation, the service rep told me that seatbelts are covered no matter what...we'll see what they say when i pull up with a hole in my passenger airbag.

im not planning to getting the airbags fixed because i planned on gettin aftermarket steering wheel anyway
