Safe distance to park from bus stops?
Hey guys, I got a friggin parking ticket in front of the Natural History museum today.
What upsets me was that I was parked pretty far away from the bus stop and, there were several vehicles in front and behind me when i parked during the afternoon. When I got back in the evening there was a damn ticket on my car probably b/c I was the only car on the block and the bus stop was within visual sight. Does anyone know what is the legal distance you should be from a bus stop???

NYC trafffic and parking rules are here:

I think you will find that the bus stops should be marked by signs (designating the area of no parking ) or a painted curb.

Usually in NYC the bus stop runs from the sign which should have a direction arrow to the next posted sign. There is no set distance because some bus stops in the city run the entire lengh of the block.
