Over 80 cars on the list as of today. Let's keep spreading the word!
I'm just worried about tire temperatures given the weather forecast. Run lower pressure in summer tires? I think a precautionary announcement should be made before we get underway since many of us are on summer rubber.

Agreed. My TPMS sensors went off early this week due to the suddenly cold weather we've been having. Need to check pressures on Saturday and reset the TPMS. I should be good to go.
Since the last rally, I got:
Powerchip stage 1 tune
Agency Power exhaust w/connecting pipes
Fabspeed X-pipe with Fabspeed high flow cats
Hopefully my diffuser arrives too so I can have that on too.
MASSIVE REDUCTION IN DRAG COEFFICIENT, y0! +58WHP.

So is the proper thing to do running less pressure to offset the hardened rubber?

Is there going to be a meet point in Edison/Route 1 again in the McDonalds parking lot? Anyone else meeting there? What time?
#35
Yes, Edison meetup spot like usual Meet at 7:15 roll out at 7:30 sharp.

I realize the pressure drops in the cold but the summer rubber also gets very hard and a high(er) pressure will reduce the contact area of hard rubber, no?

I think you're right. If the pressures are higher for the winter, they'd probably be too much for the summer. But in my experience, tires don't really "hold" air that reliably. Once the summer hits, the pressures seem to be fine again. And then next winter, they get worse....if you're still on the same set of tires, which is not usually the case for both our cars haha.
#37
Yeah this will be a last hurrah before my car goes away for the winter which is why I don't keep a second set of tires.
Should we roll out before 7:30? I know last rally you and I made amazing time but I wonder if that's cutting it too close? Then again we usually stand around for a while before getting started.

Yeah, we usually end up at the Costco parking lot for like an hour before anyone actually starts moving. I guess anytime really is fine for me. If "departure" is at 9am, that means realistically we'd leave at 9:30. If it takes roughly 50 minutes to get there from Edison, we could conceiveably leave at 8:30am even. I dunno. What do you think?
