resetting SRS light?
I was taking out the system in my car and I accidentally took the fuse out for the srs and now the stupid light is on. My mechanic turned it off in 2 seconds but hes done it for me 100 times and never charged me and I feel bad going back. Does anyone know how to turn it off?

probably re-set the ecu.
There's a procedure that's outlined somewhere here in the forums... I'll have to wait till I get to work, but I'll look and see if I can find a link for you.

try taking the battery out... and touch the negative and positive terminals together... (in the car... not on the battery) this will drain the capacitors in the ecu that retain memory...
IMPORTANT!!! make sure you dont touch positive and negative together while either terminal is connected to the battery... remove the battery completely .. and touch the terminals inside the car together for about 30 seconds or so...

Here's a post with a link to the page from the manual:

Much easier and far less potentially damaging than pulling the battery...

Ok...And I've been working with electronics professionally for the past 8 years...your point? I've probably forgotten more from my 6 months of electronics training in the AF than you had to know for your MECP certification.
Lets not make this a pissing contest. I didn't say anything about damaging the battery - I was simply suggesting that people follow the proper procedure (which is easier than pulling the battery).
