I have an AP2 and have recently purchased the T1R Single 63mm Exhaust.

Can I swap for an AP1 rear bumper and put an exhaust cap on so it doesn't look so weird with the other outlet there?

I think its when you have an AP1 and swap an AP2 bumper that you have to trim stuff... maybe...

 

The AP2 uses longer brackets. These brackets have to be cut/welded or bent back to line up the AP1 bumper properly. The brackets are holding the lower middle section of your bumper.

 

wait so its a bitch converting over from ap2 to ap1 rear bumper or the other way around? im so confused! also is there any name brands you guys can throw at me that i can look for that make a good exhaust cap?

 

AP1 to AP2 --> You have to extend brackets.
AP2 to AP1 --> Cut/weld or bend brackets.

Both are not a big deal. As far as single exhaust caps, they all suck. So choose your poison from Z-Tec or GTmotoring's.
