there's a release compound to get new tires off the mold from the factory, not to prevent them from sticking to each other. after a few miles, it should disappear.
Mold release is what it called, keeps the tire from sticking in the molding process. learned the hard way wa i was young, got a new set of tires and hammered on them, almost really ugly.
