Default Quick Hardtop Question

Just put my hardtop on, I noticed that there is some wind noise coming from the striker area in the front at high speeds. What should I get to stop this? Also, the two metal pieces on the rear of the hardtop have little holes in it, what are they for? They seem to line up wit the soft top latches, any relation? Thanks guys! Loving my hardtop!

see Billman about your wind noise... he has modified the hardware so it won't give wind noise.

for wind noise, i took jay-yo's advice and put a ladies hair tie around the metal hook on the front latches. this makes it more of a snug fit upfront. all you are really doing is adding material and making the hook a little fatter and therefore giving it a snugger fit.

Interesting, maybe it's a different issue for everyone? I was running soft top strikers previously and the fitment was very loose when latched down. I upgraded to the HT strikers and the fitment is now very tight but it didn't seem to solve the wind noise problem.

You will get some wind noise regardless at high speeds. Billman does a fix to make softops fit way more snug. Not sure if he does it for hard tops but I'm sure he has a fix. I was going to try to either get new rubber or add a little extra weather stripping to create a tigher seal but never got around to it before I sold the top.
