That is why you never go with low cost insurer. they're low cost by cutting corners to get there

Hey do you know how Esurance is with accidents and all? I recently switched to them but not too sure on their coverage for claims is.
Any experience at your shop with customers having Esurance?

they are ok, we haven't dealt with them too many times but there is definitely worse...its hard in times like this because money can be real tight...regardless of your insurance company you will always get your car back the way you want it, it just varies in how much effort it takes...

Yeah, just went through this with my wife's '07 Accord a couple months ago. We have the "lizard" for our insurance and ended up going to the preferred shop. They used either refurb OEM or 3rd party parts for the repair (only 2 of the 10 parts needed were NEW OEM). Luckily the damage wasn't bad so no driveability issues were in play and the 3rd party front bumper fits perfectly. But that doesn't change the fact that I took a 100% Honda in there and left with a 96% Honda because they saw fit to use Habib's parts for some of it. Based on my experience it's actually not a bad thing for a minor claim but if you have some serious damage make sure you do your due diligence.
Same thing happened to my girlfriend. She ran into the back of a van that stopped short and brought her TC to a Geico "preferred" shop. They wanted to get her a used headlight but she luckily got a new one, but her front bumper was replaced with some cheap knock off that didn't actually fit correctly. The grill still isn't properly attached, the tow cover doesn't fit correctly, and they painted it an almost completely different shade of white. Needless to say she was pissed but when she called the Geico up they said that they couldn't do anything to help her since they gave her the money and she could have gone anywhere she wanted.

All in all, Geico is cheap and that body shop sucks. Maybe I'll send her over to UCC to see if you guys can do anything to help her out.

Well in my case I was lucky. The bumper fits perfectly and I was able to get the body shop to keep the car an extra day to fix some issues I had with the paint. If it was more serious, I wouldn't have gone the "preferred" route.

Ulimate,
Which insurance companies would you recommend? I have Travelers, are they good?
