Default Parts Needed/Tested Air Pump and Vacuum Solenoid (Rant Inside)

Well, this might as well happen, I swear this last 2 years has been the worse years of my life! Here I thought I was FINALLY going to be able to register the S in NJ and salvage what's left of the summer. Everything has been put back together and been driving it around the block with no issues and then this morning, the Check Engine Light came back on! Most likely, the culprit is the same 2 parts below.

Is there a way to test these two parts below if they are in working order or not? I would hate to buy both of them just to see the CEL come back on. I swear I would take a hostage if that happens!

I know a lot of guys, especially the boosted guys, have these parts laying around. Would anyone of you be nice enough to let me swap yours just to see if the CEL would come back on or not? I will owe you one forever! I'm really at the end of my rope here. I'm about to give up driving the S for this year!

Let me know guys!

You could use a scan tool to command the air pump on/off.

I would start with checking for power + ground at both and go from that point.

What code did you get?

That's gonna be tough, I don't have tools like that in my garage.

I've had this same CEL for 2 years. I believe it was a "Secondary Air Pump" code. Bill had checked it a long time ago. It was never a problem before when I was in NY coz I could get inspection anywhere, not the case here in NJ. I have to get that CEL gone!

Gotta show me where those 2 are located tomorrow. The diagrams show the parts but not the location.

the first one is located right next to the air pump, behind your front bumper.
the second one is located near the intake manifold i think. gotta ask jeff on that one.

Nope. Checked that one.

I'm thinking one of the fuse or relay isn't working, I gotta find out where those are...
