Default Out of state ticket

So i got pulled over tonight on my way to meet a friend for coffee.

was going 75 in a 55 cuse i was running late.

saw the cop he was in a left turn lane waiting to make a turn so i slowed to about 70 but roads where wet so didnt try to slow down to fast.

well he pulled out
went through the whole deal ended up getting a 65 in a 55.

this was on my NY lisence and i need to get my indiana lisnce within 2 more months.

i plan on pleading not guilty to the ticket.
what are the consequences to fighting it besides wasting my time?

also if i get pulled over for speeding am i allowed to ask to see the radar number?

If you're still on a NY license, pay the ticket. Points don't transfer back to NY from out of state moving violations. However, with you getting your IN license, I'm not sure if points will stay on your record since your violation was in IN.

The worst that can happen from you fighting the ticket is the ticket not being dismissed so you'll still pay the 65 in a 55 fine plus court fees. Cop gave you a 'break' so he'll probably tell the prosecutor this...

pay it now and get it all squared away with no pts to your ny license. then when you get your IN license you should be good. this is just my thoughts because i really have no idea of indiana laws. why do you need to get a IN license anyway? keep your NY one.

My dad said i need to get an indiana license after 6 months of changing my address.
I think im going to talk to a few friends out here see what they think apparently its not the same when you fight a ticket in Ny.

In Ny most people will fight there speeding ticket to get it dropped to something lower apparently people out here have never heard of such a thing?
