Thumbs up oem ap1 spoiler

what do you guys think about installing this with just tape? is this possible? i'd rather not drill if i don't have to...having second thoughts about it.

also, the car already has perfect lines, i don't know if i should do it. what do you guys think?

what do you think it'd run to have it painted silverstone?

thanks for the input.

The deck spoiler or wing spoiler?

I have a deck spoiler on mine and love the way it looks.

Maybe you want to put it on with tape just to see how it looks temporarily. i dont reccomend finishing an install with it. Drilling permanently helps with the security factor as well. plus you can always have the holes filled if you didnt like it.

maybe $150 MAX to have it painted to match Silverstone.

the reason i didnt get the side strakes was because i had to drill into my quarter panels. drilling into the trunk is no big deal. plus i like the car without the strakes anyway.

To the best of my knowledge the spoiler comes pre-painted from Honda already. As far as simply using tape, it's not a good idea. Furthermore the spoiler isn't light. The kit even comes with different trunk springs as well to handle the increased weight on the trunk lid. If it comes off and hits another car, you can really hurt someone.

Did you buy it new in box or from a private party? The spoilers come pre-painted to match you car's color.

There are washers with self stick sides for lining the spoiler up with the mounting holes. If it was used, then you probably don't have it. The kit is supposed to come with the spoiler, stronger springs (2), butyl o-rings (2), cap nuts (2), washer bolts (2), rubber washers (4), and a marking washer set.
