Default October 28th - Palmer Motorsports Park

Hi all, I've recently registered for the October 28th full open lapping day at Palmer Motorsports Park. You can find more about lapping day here, https://www.palmermotorsportspark.co...aspx?id=div6_0
It will be my first time at this track so I would not be able to field your questions. However, in the interest of getting more of us to join and have fun, please post your questions and I will try my best to send them to the track organizer, David Connelly.

During the process of my registration, I've asked for a group discount. David is able to provide a $50 off coupon for each registrant.

In regards to the requirements of running our S2000 on track, I was told that if you have either OEM hardtop or a rollbar, you are good to go.

It would be nice to have some company at the track to close out the season (for me at least).

From where we are, roughly 3 hours. I've already booked a hotel for Thursday night. But if you do the half lapping day, you can leave in the morning and get there in time.

I would try posting in the New England section as well. Any one-day track event that's over 1 hour away from me is not worth it to me, in my opinion.

I will post in the other sections. As for travel to tracks, it's tough where we live. Not really close to many tracks and there are some good tracks to experience at least once that are hours away.

Driving Convertibles

» Convertibles MUST have occupant rollover protection installed immediately behind the driver’s seat.

» Windshield only rollover protection is not sufficient.

» "Bolt on" hardtop roofs are not sufficient.

» OEM rollover protection is acceptable if installed immediately behind the driver’s seat.

» OEM "pop up" rollover protection is acceptable only if installed immediately behind the driver’s seat.

» Permanent aftermarket rollover protection is acceptable subject to WHR management approval.

» Aftermarket "pop up" rollover protection is not acceptable under any circumstances.

» Rollover protection, whether "pop-up" or permanent, installed behind rear passenger seats is not acceptable under any circumstances.

Yeah I'm having trouble with the half day drive up there then track then after that having to drive a half day back.
