So I sold my G35 to a guy from Jersey. I have the title with a lien printed on it but I also have a bank letter stating that the loan has been satisfied and the lien has been released. My question is, if I give him the title and letter should that be enough for him to register it and put the car under his name clear of the lien?

I think so but he doesnt seem to think so.

Yes. Title with Lien release is all he will need.

It has to have a signiture on it too. And be the original copy and it will stay with the title. So don't expect it back.

^^ Yeah thats cool. I gave it to him and it has some bankers signiture. It also says IN BIG BOLD LETTERS AT THE TOP "LIEN RELEASE LETTER" or something like that lol

fyi for those that dont know .. DMV is closed in Jersey on mondays now. WTF!!!!?
