Hi All
I've been lurking on the forum for quite some time now looking for a s2000 but I'm very budgeted so its been taking longer than expected. Dont know to much about the car but the forum has been and look forward to seeing some s2000 friends in the area. found a 2003 yellow, 104k miles for what I think is reasonable price. Only problem with the car is its been in 5 accidents and has 5 owners.

I'm a car fanatic and I'm not sure if buying a car with 5 accidents is a good idea. What are your thoughts? If anyone is selling in the new york/long island area pm me some details.

Depending on what happened they could have been minor fender benders. Get a detailed car chex of car fax. pictures of the damage and repairs if possible. Whats the price? The CR I bought had an accident. Owner hit a deer so thats very minor. Also depends on each person. you can use that a bargaining tool.

Do your homework. Check for the original VIN tags. Take along someone who owns and knows the S2000.

Don't blow your whole budget on the car though and have nothing left for issues that may (read will) arise.

You need to get the car fax and list the accidents down for us to give you more advice.

This cars paint is very hard to match so whatever has been replaced on the car may not look so good.

I good body shop can match the paint if they know what there doing.

5 owners means nothing, 5 accidents is a different story and it depends what they were. Any pics of the car

lol cmon, there aren't many good ones out there. And the ones that are good cost money. Only a responsible person is willing to pay for good work. 5 accidents don't sound responsible to me.
