To sum a long story up, my wheel bearing is shot so I'm getting it replaced so both upper and lower ball joints must be popped.

When doing my diff I used the ball joint popper and worked perfectly. Was able to swing the axle out of the way and make the job much easier.

I believe the upper arm is pressed into the hub, although you can carefully remove it with a hammer. I would just remove the arm with the hub and bring the entire assy to get the bearing replaced. If you do separate the upper arm from the hub make sure you notice the marking for alignment, its small arrow if i recall.

In picture 5 and 6 you can see the ball joint is not pressed in or anything...that little L backet might be but I'm not concerned about removing that.
