Default Need help on a recently bought car

If someone buys a new car from a dealership and then sees another car that they like at another dealership and is a cheaper car, what are the options?

Also how did the cash for clunkers work. Would the dealer deduct the amount from ur invoice. And would you leave the car at the dealership or would it get towed away?

Edwin...

1) you'd have to get the 2nd dealership to buy out the 1st car. Not an easy feat.

2) cash for clunkers rebates came off the TOTAL of the sale, including tax. It would equate to money down, and would not affect the sales tax. A normal trade in comes off the selling price before tax. The clunker rebate was in addition to any money down. (like $1000 + $4500 rebate)

3) the car is treated like a trade in. Drive it to the dealership, leave it and drive out in the new car. One of the stips in the C4C program was that the "clunker" had to be driveable and running.

Some dealerships give you two weeks to make sure you like the car and you can return it if you don't. If your dealership doesn't have a policy like that you're
