Need help with a parking ticket in Brooklyn
I've gotten a ticket for the "pedestrian ramp violation". It's a whopping $165 Fine.
first, I don't think I was at fault. My car was on the edge of the pedestrian ramp. But definitely not obstructing it.
And Second, On the ticket. It says it was parked on Benson ave. But my car was freaking parked on Cropsey ave.
It's totally screwed up. Does anyone have an idea how I can fight this ticket? Thanks

A picture or a witness willing to testify can help you fight it. At the end of it all it will be a major pain. That is a parking violation and not a moving violation so I am not 100% sure. In my area the traffic cops are out in full force so I feel your pain. I take no chances anymore.

was your car parked @ a pedestrian ramp on the corner of the block or the middle of the block? i believe that if there is a ramp in the middle of the block and not an adjoining on on the opposite side of the street they cant write you for it.

Some updates. Hope this will be helpful to someone in the future.
So, I snapped a couple of pictures of where the car was parked. Without the car being at the place. Filled out the online application for hearing. Summited the pictures along. And guess what. Couple days later, I got an email stating that I was not guilty. Fine reduced to 0 dollars.
It worked out well. Thanks for the inputs from everyone.
