Default Need to find a VW mechanic/shop

Anyone by chance know of a place or person who is good with VW's?

I have a '01 Jetta 1.8T that needs some maintenance done as well as some work the turbo. Theres a few shops around here that can do it but aren't overly profficient with my Jetta or charge $90/hour labor .

Anyway if you can give me a name or address I'd appreicate it!

Yea I know Mike at Tyrol, problem is, they charge $90/hour. They're a great shop if you need mods done but I need to go for just routine maintenance.

haha thats ok, the basic tune up is easy, its just that on top of that i need to have my cam chain tensioner gasket replaced which is a pain in the ass to do .... otherwise i would have done everything myself.

Mike at Tyrol Sport is one of the nicest and most helpful guys i've ever met! He really helped me out when I had my 337 GTi. Is he still working out of his house in Bayside?
