Default Need Advice

EDIT: I HAVE MADE A DECISION

I have decided to get rid of the Mazda and just keep the S2K, I'll use it during the winter, but if it snows, I'll either leave home or work early to avoid the storm and maybe get a cover for the 5 days it will not be used. I may buy snow tires just for emergencies however including a sand bag for the trunk

Buy a winter car if you are not used to driving in the snow with RWD (specially the s2k). You wont have to worry about snowy roads while commuting to work through the city. Last year was super mild but i cant guarantee it will be like that this year. I would sell the truck and get yourself an older civic or a subaru. as far as storing the car you can get one of those storage places or park it at a friends/girlfriends house. I personally would not want to drive my s2 in the winter.

i drove the s2k during the winter when the storms were bad...all you need is some great snow tires...my favorites were the blizzaks, you'll be surprised what wonder those tires can do, personally, i dont think you need any weight in the trunk...please remember that the s2k is not a forgiving car in wet or snowy weather, with that in mind, i agree with iamxpL try to get a cheap reliable beater...good luck

Even if it doesn't snow you'll need winter tires to be safe.

Summer tires become like rocks when the temps consistently drop below 40 degrees.

First year I had my S I bought a set of wheels and tires and just swap them in December and again at the first sign of Spring.

Dunlop WinterSports were the best mod I had on my daily driven S. never missed a day of work because of snow. Well actually I missed one or two on days when the snow was really piled up. But ordinarily the WinterSports were good to go!
