Nassau, Eastern Queens or Western Suffolk Restaurants Suggestions ??
Anyone have any good ideas for a restaurant to try out ?? We are going out to dinner with some old friends tonight (Friday) and wanted to try someplace different here in Nassau, Eastern Queens or Western Suffolk. Any kind of food except Indian.
Thanks.

Mama Teresa's ... Jericho Turnpike(rt 25). Good Italian food.
Peter Luger's ... Northern Blvd. Good steak house, but expensive.
Master Grill ... in Flushing, all you can eat Brazillian(?) BBQ.

Master Grill is pretty nice
Green Fields is the same. I'd rather goto green fields. They have them in a couple places. Jackson Heights/Corona (like 100 something street and northern blvd.) and if u take the amityville exit on the LIE and go towards SUNY Farmingdale (many signs) u'll see one.
If u went to Manhattan u'd have a much wider selection of places.

Thanks for the suggestions so far !!! Mama Teresa's is someplace we have been meaning to try for a while ..... Luger's is a major been there done that place ..... Green Fields is an interesting option (there is a place with a similar concept within walking distance of my house --- on Jericho Tpk. between Willis Ave . and MIneola Blvd. - I have been there but have not been to Greenfields).
Has anyone seen/heard of/been to any new/good seafood places recently ??
Thanks again to all who respond !!

Master Grill sucks big ass. That place is so dingy, don't ever go there after a rain storm because it leaks and everything smells like wet dog.
Mama Teresa's is good for low budget. For a little higher budget you should just try Waterzooi (Belgian/seafood)or the place next to it Victory (steaks).
If you want sushi, there are a couple of real small places in Eastern Queens. One on Springfield Blvd. Nagoya the owner use to be the head chef at the biggest Hotel in Hong Kong. The second is in Whitestone, but the name escapes me at the moment. Another thing that you might want to try is Korean BBQ in Flushing.

Riverbay On willis ave is known for it's seafood
Or you could always try Legal Seafood (the boston chain) at Walt Whitman mall, though I will warn I've gotten mixed reviews (fair-good, as opposed to the ones in boston which are excellent)
If you're up for a luger type bill, there's always Steve's Pier One in Bayville, which is terriffic... King Crab legs that look like baseball bats
