Default My Trip to GA 13 hour drive from door to door.

As some of you guys know i drove my S2k down to Georgia over the weekend to leave the car there. 13 hr drive from start to finish. I just want to say that i will try to still make it out to the meets by can't promise anything as for i am without my s2k temporarily. i would feel weird coming to a meet without it,. But if you of you guys wouldn't mind a passenger i would love to tag along to any future meets. Just Pm in or hit me up on the cell. Wanted to say that i have met some great people at the meets and on the forum. I might be MIA for awhile from the meets but will still be active on the site.

I would never recommend driving down by yourself to GA to anyone. How far have you guys driven in one shot. Just Curious. This is by far the furtherest for me. And i remember Grunts2k did drive cross country last year. Just wondering if he did it alone? I think that i made pretty good time for the trip. 13 hours. it felt like forever though.

I decided to drive down here first with the intentions of helping a friend in need. Living in GA and living in NY is totally different i must say.. you can't live down here without a car as opposed to living in Ny and having the great public transportation system. So i decided to do what anyone would do for a friend in need.

On the way down merging on the Interstate 85 i ran over a piece of truck tire that was laying in the middle of the Highway. So needless to say i couldn't avoid it last minute so i ran over it but my car being that low my front lip wouldn't clear so it cracked and scuffed up.. will need a new lip and my bumper is a mess..

Here's a picture from my cell phone. this is after washing it.

the furtherst ive driven the S alone is the dragon. alone as in alone in my car, but cruising with a bunch of other cars. we stopped over in PA, so the longest stretch was 9 hrs.

PLEASE make sure your insurance knows about, and approves of this.
Make sure you cover your bases.

I hope your friend is as good of a friend to you as you are to him...

Wow thats very admirable of you to help a friend in need
Yes I drove to Cali and back alone. My longest stretch was 12 hours straight stopping only for gas. I hit almost 1,000 miles on that stretch.

You averaged under 85 MPH?

I'm Very Disappointed Dave.
Real men average > 100 MPH

Here's where i have a issue as well.. The thing is She's insuring the s2k. but it's still gonna be my car. is that a problem?

The title and registration is staying as NY. shouldn't have a problem insuring a car with NY plates in Georgia right?

If anyone can chime in i would be grateful.
