Hello with the weather getting better I wanted to create a thread solely to present and discuss ideas for meets and drives.

My first proposal is to do a beach meet at Sunken Meadow State Park which is on the north shore of LI.... I think the location is great for the crybabies that dont want to leave Nassau/Suffolk county....

but anyhow click on the link to the map, and you notice that the parking lot is huge. There are basketball courts, trails, lakes, picnic and BBQ areas, and also the beach.

I went here once one summer with a group of 30+ friends from church and had a blast.

my second proposal is to go either for a scenic drive on the Henry Hudson drive and or also meet for a BBQ/Photoshoot at the Park in the picture. I have been there before and it is very picturesque

Has boating, a lake and a place to BBQ and picnic

astoria park sucks. i think i once saw a s2k meet on franny lew, which now sucks, why doesnt everyone do a great adventure trip together, meet up in staten island, then go to jersey over the outerbridge

 

Well, I think Astoria park may suck for meets of 15 cars or more.....


I've gone there on a few occasions with like 5-7 cars...for a mini meet...

Great Adventure is an idea also but I dont know about leaving my car in a huge parking lot for a whole day while I'm riding on a roller coaster.... if thats the case I'll just take my beater there.

 

I love sunken meadow park. Awesome place for photoshoots as well. However, if you have more than a certain amount of people, I believe you need to apply for a permit.

are you familiar with college point, there is a boulder creek there on 20th ave...... it has a lot that is built bigger then 2 giant stadiums... lot is always empty after 10...... plus boulder creek has great food and a great beer selection... i say we do a meet on franny lew, then shoot down to get some late night food

ok, we will set it up.... have all these s2k's in the area meet up on a friday or saturday night somewhere in queens, do a lap on franny lew, then shoot over to boulder creek in college point
