Default My dog gone for 4 hours.

...and came home with a rope around his neck. WTF!?!?

Both my dogs, Frodo and Pippen, were outside in the driveway this morning. At around 11 am, I heard my gate opened and closed. I'm thinking Cody came home from school early so I was waiting for him to get inside the house. A minute later I went outside to check what's up. I found only one of my dogs outside. I immediately ran outside started calling Pippen's name. Drove around the neighborhood for an hour with no luck.

Got really nervous as Pippen has never been past my block. If he wonders off past my block he would not know how to get home. He's not exactly the smartest dog (but I still love him).

Frustrated, at around 3 pm, I stepped out of the house and found him at the gate waiting to get in. Besides being very thirsty and very tired as if he never ran as much in his life he is fine. This has a happy ending but WTF was the rope about? How can anyone just go in someone's driveway and kidnap a grown dog? Whoever did it knew someone was home because my garage doors were both open.

I'd like to think he chewed off those ropes to get away and come home. If so, I have a superdog in my basement.

Thank god he's back, but this just makes NO sense thats really weird did he have tags on him? Maybe someone found him used it as a leash or some thing?? Then again not sure he could have opened the gate him self... odd.

Yea most likely it was some good Samaritan that found him but looks like he knew where he had to go and chewed himself free and came back...they almost always do

Pippin is a good looking guy, very cute. The whole thing is very worrisome but I'm glad you got him back.
