Unless the car is cold, I've never seen 90psi cruising. Usually it's around 75psi. Sounds like everything is normal

Dropping down to 11 once or regularly 13 psi is not waay too low?
Just don't want to blow the engine from running too low pressure. Cruising seems to be ok.

Anyone with a gauge do you dip down in psi as soon as you hit vtec? Mine does every time and then rises back up.

Also what do you think about changing to a 5w40 oil to get a little more oil pressure?

What are the negatives if any with that weight oil? I will be going to NY soon anyways so will be cold for a while as I thought that weight was better for cold?

On a hot day at idle I'll see 12psi at my oil relocation block, I don't worry about it.

Ok cool. I'll take a picture of where the oil pressure sender was installed to make sure it is the correct place and all.
Yeah while regular driving and stopping the idle is mostly around 14-15 psi. It will dip down sometimes to that low but only for a second. I think it does that since my idle sometimes dips a little low and then goes back up to where it should be.
Hopefully everything is fine.
How come the stock oil pressure as per honda is 36 psi at idle then?

everyone I have talked to has idle pressure of 18-25psi, most dead at 20psi
Honda # must be typo that they never corrected

Ok cool. Maybe the gauge is just off slightly. Starts out at 35 psi or more at startup and then slowly goes down the longer it's running. Car is fully warmed now and idle is 20-21 psi but once the oil warms up more it keeps going down.
Looks like I should be ok I think.

Well my pressure gauge is at my relocation block, I also have more oil lines than a stock s2k, so between those 2 things, I expect different readings than a stock s2k

Ah ok makes sense. Tonight after driving 30 miles each way the oil pressure stayed around 18-19 at idle I guess because it was cooler outside or something.

Does anyone know though about the dip in oil pressure when vtec hits?
mine dips down to the 60's and then goes up through 70's and into the 80's and then bounces around a little bit but didn't seem to go into the 90's at all even at redline. Is that normal?

get a roll of duct tape, you can get it at like home depot or something.

rip off a piece like 3 inches long and slap it over the face of your gauge, problem solved!
