Smile Low oil pressure after oil jet bolt install.

Ok well I am prepping for a supercharger. I had wideband. oil pressure/boost installed last week. When I got them in oil pressure at idle was 20-30 psi which seems to be pretty normal.
Normal cruising was around 80-90psi basically.

Well yeterday had oil jet bolts installed, oil pan tapped and had the oil changed from Mobil 1 synthetic to Valvoline synthetic. Both 10W30.
I drove home about 100 miles and the oil pressure seemed to keep going down slowly.
At idle got as low as 16 last night and cruising mid 70's at around 3k rpms's.

Today at idle it has dipped down as low as 11 psi for a very brief second then back up to where it stays around 14-15 psi at idle.
Cruising at 3k rpm's now the oil pressure is at around 70psi.
The person who did the install has worked on many S2000's and has built his own engine and all.
Oil jet bolts were torqued to 12 ft lbs.

My gauge a(flame suite on) Glowshift gauge. It is a 2 in 1 gauge with boost and oil pressure.

I checked oil levels and they are perfect. No leaks that I can see.
Oil pressure sender is tapped in right by the vtec solenoid it looks like. No loeaks present there. Nothing oily.

Anyone have any ideas? Is that Waaaaaay too low? Can damage occur from that ort of low psi?
The guy who installed it said I could take it back to him tomorrow to have him pull the oil pan again and check everything out for free. It is about 2 hours away though so a little nervous of driving all the way there and all.
Also planning to drive to NY next week so getting close to the wire!

could have been the gauge not reading properly if the sending unit is bad. I know it happens with vette guys all the time. Low pressure def isn't good for an extended period of time but a second won't hurt. The oil pump might be on the way out.
is the car running really rich? if you get gas in the oil that will break down the oil.
be careful and keep an eye on it is all you can do until you take it apart and see...

Car is not running rich at all really. 12-12.5 mostly at wot. 15 cruising.
I really doubt it is the oil pump. Gauge was reading a good bit higher before the oil jet and oil change was done. Could it be the oil?
Someone recommended 5w40 synthetic? Should I try it?
My car does have 120k on it but never driven too hard or anything. Been running perfect and still feels perfect just see the gauge reading bad.
Would it make a difference where it is reading from?
It's normal that the pressure goes down when warming up right?

If it was perfectly fine before the install, id wager it had something to do with the install. My gauge still read 90psi at 4k with the new bolts installed, before forced induction.

Also did you put on a new filter? Maybe try another one just to eliminate that possibility.

It might be just a crapy gauge. After all it is glowshift lol.
Yeah I should be getting 90 cruising.
At 4k I'm getting like 75 or so. Doesn't seem to really keep going up if it is supposed to.
Does anyone elses dip when hitting vtec?

that could be the filter on the vtec solenoid is clogged

unscrew the vtec solenoid on the passenger side of the motor, its like 3 10mm bolts, there are a couple of very small screens in there that get clogged sometimes

Oil pressure should be a bit lower with the new oil bolts. There is something like 25% more flow through the new 4 hole bolt holes compared to the older 2 bolt design. Oil pressure will also decrease as the oil gets hotter and the viscosity decreases. If the oil pressure sensor is still working right, that is a pretty big drop in oil pressure.
