Default Long Island Beach Meet

Hey guys,

Hope everyones enjoying their summer, now that the weather is nice and hot, I was thinking of organizing a beach meet. I'm currently out in Southampton for work for the summer and a few guys expressed interest in coming out here for a cruise. I can try and set up a weekday cruise for the guys that are free then and a weekend cruise as well whatever work best. Also it doesn't have to just be Southampton, we can change it around. Thought it'd be nice to cruise down to a beach, park it up, get some food and catch some waves then hangout for the day and get some drinks at night and a bite to eat. Then everyone can cruise back or even maybe make it a 2 day event and crash at a hotel or someplace local. Let me know what you guys think and who would be interested. Lot's of scenic roads around.

I would be interested if I could get some Billman work done to my S2000 in the same trip. Otherwise, it is way too far for me, even if I take the ferry from Bridgeport CT.

Depends where and when on parking down at long beach. I was there last sat morning 6am, plenty of parking, left at 1030am still good amt of parking spaces, plenty on streets.

Kinda odd topic but any metro surfers, esp LI guys?

I used to work in SH and live in East Quogue. Id be down for a beach meet where ever. Hampton Bays has a couple good bar/restaurants on Dune road and parking isnt too bad during the week. I also used to surf and sponge when I was younger. Would like to get back into it. We get some decent waves out here in HB too.

So far it's looking like Southampton and long Beach are two contenders. What is everyones scehdule like and would you want to come up early and leave later in the night or stay at a hotel? Never been to Jones beach or Robert Moses but they are also options
