Local welder for roll cage/roll bar modifying
Anyone know of a place local to North Jersey where I can bring my Hard Dog roll bar to to have a harness bar welded in?
I ordered the Hard Dog roll bar pretty hastily, and now I'm realizing I should have ordered it with the harness bar welded in because I'll be running race seats/harnesses next spring. I don't know much about welding/roll cages, but I'd imagine I can bring it to a shop and have a harness bar welded in (?). It may just make sense for me to sell mine locally and order a new one from Hard Dog with the harness bar welded on already.
Anyone know of a place or have any info on this? Thanks

Off-topic: Sean - I see preparation for the T-bolt event goes full speed? It will be the blast!!!
Also - since you are welding the harness bar - think about where you want to have it. Ideally it has to be at the shoulder level. But that would require getting rid of secret and storage compartment part. Mine is just above secret compartment. So - it is little to high, but still OK.

Hey Alex, yup preparation is going full speed. Changed most of my fluids, and cleared out my garage and have my car sitting up on jack stands now. Started swapping my brakes last night, will finish up tomorrow. New OEM pads for the street, stainless steel lines, new OE rotors (Centric), new Super blue fluid, and a set of Porterfield R4 pads for the track. I'll be much better prepped this time since everything isn't so last minute.
Hopefully start on my roll bar Thursday night and finish it up this weekend. Then over winter I'm going to have the harness bar welded in. I'm probably going to be removing the storage compartments once I put race seats in next year, who knows.

Is there an event at Thunderbolt before the NASA NE event at the end of Oct?
RTR-PCA runs an event on Oct. 22-24. All three days are opened for ALL runs groups. They usually also have 5 sessions each day. Dinner at the track on Sat. is included into the price. Plus they are cheaper than PDA/NASA. 450$ Sat+Sun or 525$ all 3 days. Registration is opened to everyone and there is still room in all run groups. May be blue is close to filling up. Join us - it will be a blast!
