Totally agree on the canopy, I said the same thing. I have an 8'. I actually heard rumors that many of the ALMS owners/drivers were NOT happy with changes at LRP and may not want to come back

However, if they don't go to LRP there is a good chance they may consider Watkins Glen. Could be a great combo weekend with Indy Cars first weekend of July. (Like what is happening in Mid-Ohio this weekend and happened in St Pete earlier this season).

During the pit walk I was talking to both the Panoz drivers and they were saying how the new layout of Westbend complete screwed up the flow of the track. The Diving Turn just doesn't have that manic feel to it anymore. Hopefully they come to their senses and revert back the the original lay out for next year.

As cool as an ALMS race at the Glen would be, don't hold your breath on it happening. Watkins Glen is owned by International Speedway Corporation (aka NASCAR) which owns Grand AM and they don't want to get into a popularity contest on their home turf that they will loose.
