Default Lexan window tint?

Alright so, you learn something new everyday...

That something new for me was when I went to get an estimate for window tints, I was told the Lexan windows on my car could not be tinted regularly because of the plastic being porous.. Makes sense..

The tint guy told me to look for an auto body shop that would be willing to spray tint the windows, (something I know you can buy a can of and do yourself but I don't care to mess it up) has anyone ever tinted a Shine hardtop? Does anyone know of a place that will spray tint the Lexan windows?

Thanks in advance.

Your talking about the back window right? How thick is it would it be possible to replace the window? I know a place that will cut you whatever shape needed and they sell pre tinted plexi, may not be that much depending on the thickness.. Im not sure about tinting it after the fact I feel like its made like that like its composites not sure though.

You can also get static cling stuff. That is what people use for the plastic rear windows on the early AP1's.

How long ago did you get it done? I have heard that once the sun hits it the Plexi actually emits a gas which causes it to bubble.. within a few months.
