thats what i did with a old lappy that i got cheap!

Check out ebay i found a toshiba screen for my laptop on there around 80-100 may not have ur model but worth a shot

so I decided to buy a new screen for my laptop n it arrived today n I installed it but when I turned the laptop on I only get a white screen any1 knows y n wat I am doing wrong?

Nevermind. One of the connectors were not connected all the way. My laptop is fixed and didn't need to pay 300 or more to fix it. Thanks guys for suggesting buying the screen on ebay. It was so easy.
