Default Laptop Screen Broken

I came home n turned on my laptop and saw that the inside of the screen is broken u can only see a quarter of the screen and the rest is white. looks like the inside of the screen is cracked.

it was next to my couch n i shouldn't of left it there.

does any1 know how much it would cost to repair the screen?

no internet for me for a while only @ work or on the iphone.

Isn't that the most expensive part of a laptop?

You're better off getting a new laptop or a monitor for it and just use it like a desktop. Most places won't even fix that. It's too expensive

I figured it would be around the $300-$400 range. the thing is with getting a new 1 is that all my files are on the old 1. i know they can transfer the information. im jus debating on either to fix it or just buying a new 1.
