Congrats on the bike. Very nice. My bro has a 1978 GS750 that he is in the process of restoring. If you can, try learning and doing all the work to the bike on your own. It helps you appreciate motorcycles and the bike itself a lot more.

Take everything slow, develop good habits early, and always wear your gear!

What a coincidence!1 I just bought myself my very first bike also. Since you don't have a license yet, where do you go ride? I suggest you to sign up for the MSF course immediately because they are full for the next 1-2 months. I signed up last week and got lucky because someone canceled their appointment so I paid in full right away so no one else can steal the opening and my class starts tomorrow. =)

Do you know if NJ DMV will recognize the MSF Course that's taken in NY?
