It doesn't matter how much. If you are looking for an amount jack up the lower control arm two full pumps for each wheel. Just don't super compress the spring. Not more than what it will see on the street.

Thanks. I'm gonna go do the fronts now.

So basically wait a couple of weeks before I get an alignment? Anywhere I should go that won't scratch my wheels?

Jack up the control arms just enough that the car is being lifted off the jackstands. That means the weight of the car is resting on the control arms.

Euro tire seems to be the place to go

Yeah pre-load each so that it takes weight off the jackstand then bolt up.

Hmmm.. my driverside still seems slightly higher than my passenger side but the front is definitely lower now. It's too late to do the rear and it's getting cold.

I'll do the rears first thing in the morning.

You don't need to remove the control arms to install the springs/shocks for the rear... but if you did, preload them.

Oh no. When I did the rear it was just the two bolts in the trunk on each side and the one bolt on the bottom outside connecting the shock.

Do I have to preload the rear still? I thought preloading was just to tq the UCA's in the front properly.
