Are they that bad henry? A few people have them on here and love them. I know a friend of mine had them on his GTI and loved them. I do remember billman telling me that they do bounce more than the stock ones. Am not sure which route to go with, I would hate to buy them and the car rides worse than stock. I hope someone has a pic so I can see how the car looks with elibach springs and stock structs.

a ride along with billman for a shakedown run around his neighborhood will open your eyes about the stock performance potential of the oem dampers.

to say it is sphincter-tighteningly-pooed-your-pants-scary-but-mind-numbingly-laughter-inducing-before-you-scream-for-your-life-but-thank-him-after... is an understatement.

thanks again bill!

You do a lot .. A LOT of driving lol. If you want close to OEM comfort feel, OEM with Eibachs is the closest you will get. Not to mention that OEM shocks are amazing and tuned for the S. I have rode in lots of cars and ridden in my old car with Billman at the wheel (swift springs and oem). Swifts were to harsh for my tast. Everyone notices things different though.

I do trust Billmans opinion because he has driven just about every single setup you can think of and after sitting in the passenger seat with him and how he drives... I am confident he knows what he is talking about. Don't forget that the S was designed to be a weekend track car and backroad loving beast. Honda didn't skimp out on the suspension. Koni's are a good replacement if you had to replace your shocks. But if you don't. No need to spend the money. That's just my 2 cents. I wouldn't call Koni's bad. But I would say OEM are better for street plus weekend racing.

I myself am debating between swift and eibach. I hear nothing but good things about both though more people say swift are better for the track.

Just a heads up, Eibach's + stock shocks don't give enough drop to the likings of most people. Just keep that in mind if you decide to go that route. If you don't mind the looks, it's hard to beat that combo for the price.

Eibach/stock shock drop.

OEM 16" SO2s, springs have a few months on them here so its a good reference.
