either tein s-tech's or eibach on stock shocks and you're good. i've had tein s-tech's on stock shocks for the past 40k miles and they're still good. 1" drop and rides very similar to stock.

I know Billman is an S2000 genius but I have to disagree here..I use to run Eibach / stock shocks on my 2005 and it handled well and was very very comfortable, almost stock..now I run TEIN Monoflex on my 2004 and as far as handling it def. way better, comfort wise, not so much.

chris, i think you're missing the op's needs...

he wanted reassurance that he'd be fine with just springs as his budget and needs at the moment will not allow for coilovers.

and if he does have the budget for the coilovers later, tein monoflex will definitely be a good choice, but i'd personally prefer the kw variant 3. (it's much smoother and more compliant for daily driving, but has the ability to keep the car from shifting its weight around better than most i've driven on when competing at autox events).

Another vote for pro kit springs. Used to use them and felt great!

Define way better...do you say that because the car is stiffer and has less roll?

I plan on doing eibach springs in the next 2 weeks.

Am not 100% sure if am buying Koni Yellows or staying with the stock structs yet because a few members incuding billman said that all you need is eiback springs with stock structs and you will be good to go, does anybody have a pic of there car with eibach springs on stock structs?

Don't waste money on the Koni's. I may take some time to do my setup otherwise I would show you.

unless you know what you're doing with the koni's don't bother spending the money, like henry said...

i have off the shelf koni's on stock springs and it's not enough for my competition needs.

that being said, knowing the majority of you guys will not come close to the s2000's driving limits, the oem dampers are phenomenal and the absolute best bang for your buck.

quality coilovers ($2000 and up - anything less is not worth bothering for the s2000) are not worth it unless you are regularly attending high performance driving events.

and my suggestion - before even messing around with the suspension, the driver modification is paramount... then tires.
