Default Ideal NYC/Metro area suspension

Trying to avoid (at least temporarily) 1500-$2000 coils. I'm interested in dropping the car 1-5' max. I hear good things about eibach, my question is...If i dont replace my shocks will they blow relatively fast (like a few mos)? I cant justify spending $800 for new shocks and springs, when for $700 more i can get some kw variants....

I'm asking here since we all know how shitty NYC roads are...

Short of driving off a cliff or into a sinkhole, I don't think you can drop the car 1 foot.

I'm on eibachs with stock suspension for about 20k miles, no problems and I have driven my car all over the tristate and manhattan. I'm no more careful driving than I already was.

I've heard real good things about eibachs with stock struts. If your not looking to slam it and keep the budget low I'd go that way. You could always slam it and drive slow like me lol

Swift sport springs on stuck struts are awesome.

best possible setup will be eibach. reason- comfort feel is oem, has 1" drop and handles great. oem shocks are great to begin with.

Don't fall into the whole coil or this spring or that set up. It's all over kill from all the reading and reaserch I have done. Also, going cheap with coils will require quicker replacement than eibach and oem shocks. I plan on running the same setup since I am always going into Queens, Uptown (by Dyckman), Bronx and Brooklyn. My car is not a garage queen and I love to drive it all over NYC despite our horrible roads... I do dodge pot holes like cones at auto-x

the oem dampers are among the best you can possibly have for an s. swift or eibach springs are all that's needed for your needs.

Eibachs on stock struts for the last 100k miles.

Highly recommended. The handling is literally better than most coilovers.
