I was going to call Elliot because he is the only NY lawyer I know but he isn't
in NY anymore so I thought I'd post up and get some suggestions from all you
NY guys

 

mike, im sure you can just go to court and plea bargain that on your own. just talk to the prosecutor and tell them it was a circle and to help you out and change it from a moving violation to a non moving violation or even drop it totally.

 

yeah I was thinking that but I'm not sure because its a state park and all if they do things different .... every time I think about this ticket and what an ass that cop was
it really gets me pissed off

 

thinking about the parking ticket really gets me pissed off too (i know ur ticket is worse)


i dont think u need a lawyer though, im sure if u explain to the cop that he followed us from exit 17 and was mad that he couldnt get us for speeding so he had to find something to get someone for


the cop was waiting for us right by the exit, and when we came around the corner doing the speed limit (or very close to it) he was probably pissed off that he couldnt get us for speeding

O yeah I remember that day too .... that cop was a prick too

basically we we are going around the circle and getting off at the the next exit
I didn't put on my turn signal to be honest I don't think I have ever used my
turn signal in a circle because it seems to me its just a constent merge situation
but I guess not

but what really burns me was how he talked to me and said we don't want you
type of people here and when you do come we will watch you and every time
you do something wrong will will ticket you or if you exhaust is too loud or you
car is illegal in anyway we will ticket you ( mean while the jackass never noticed
my missing front plate ) this guy just kept lecturing me and pushing my buttons
as if he wanted to get me pissed off enough to do something even after he came
back with the ticket he gives it to me and starts up again Lannie was almost in tears
because he just kept running his mouth I really wanted to punch him in the mouth
but I just kept my mouth shut and you know how hard that is for me Joe

i agree i really dont think you need a lawyer for that i think that ticket is such bs. I would try by urself and if it doesnt work post pone and come back with a lawyer
